The five-day health awareness campaign showcases healthcare partners, including KPJ Healthcare Berhad, BP Healthcare, ROSE Foundation, UKM Specialist Centre and National Kidney Foundation.  Activities and services provided during the campaign include complimentary health screenings, posture screening, dental check-ups, eye check-ups, health talks, advisory services & consultations.

The blood donation, which covers five regions namely Central, Northern, Southern, East Coast and East Malaysia targets more than 5,000 donors in the hope to increase the blood supply at the National Blood Bank.

Khoo Ai Lin urged others in the society to emulate such noble initiative to save more lives and to help more Malaysians to benefit from the campaign.

“This year, we are happy to continue with our social responsibility together with 16 member companies, NAMLIFA and other co-partners to ensure that our objective to help those in need becomes a reality. We want to nurture good values among Malaysians and at the same time increase the stock level of the national blood bank.  We also want to encourage all Malaysians to take care of their health, their family and loved ones by practicing a healthy lifestyle,” Ai Lin added.

According to data, the National Blood Center needs at least 2,000 bags of blood a day to meet the demand from all over the country.

“Therefore, I welcome the participation of all of you and all Malaysians in general to help PDN meet the needs of this growing demand. You can donate blood at any PDN branch nationwide or at any hospital blood bank near you,” urged Ai Lin.

Apart from donating blood, health exhibitions and free health services are also taking place at Busana MARA for 5 days. Various health care services are provided such as free health checkups and health consultations to help those who want to know their health status. Health talks with various interesting topics also take place every day from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

“Do not miss this opportunity. We very much welcome your presence here. Remember! A healthy body will give birth to a healthy generation and subsequently a healthy society and country,” Ai Lin concluded.
