Patrick has over 26 years of working experience, mostly in the life insurance industry but also experience in general insurance and banking. He has also valuable overseas experience having worked in Europe and Asia prior to returning to Malaysia.

Patrick qualified as an actuary from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries UK and had served as President of the Actuarial Society of Malaysia before.

Prior to joining MLRe, Patrick was the Actuarial Practice Leader and assisted in setting up the actuarial function for PwC Malaysia. He has held numerous leadership roles including Appointed Actuary, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Bancassurance.

During Patrick’s first year with MLRe, he oversaw the issuance of a retakaful license for the company. This helps MLRe to extend support to the domestic family takaful market and helps solidify MLRe as the market leader in life reinsurance in the country.
