LIAM organise the 1st Malaysian Youth Video Awards 2015, the largest inter university social video production challenge

LIAM under its community service platform, Insurans Hayat Cares is organising the 1st Malaysian Youth Video Awards 2015 with the theme 'You Only Live Once' (YOLO). Managed by Malaysian Youth Community (MYC!), the challenge attracts about 20 universities nationwide in Malaysia mainly the multimedia and broadcasting faculties.

This initiative under Insurans Hayat Cares is focused on youth and LIAM is committed to share the message that life is precious. LIAM's Industry Promotion Committee chairman, Ramzi Toubassy said Malaysian Youth Video Awards 2015 was the largest in terms of universities participating, and committed to sharing the message that life is precious, with the campaign mission, "value life, capture life, share life". "We want to remind the younger generation of Malaysians of this very fact that life comes only once. 

LIAM aim to raise the awareness on financial protection among the youth in line with the government aspiration to ensure that more Malaysians have insurance protection. 

In order to participate, students are required to register and submit their story boards online via contest website at www.youthvideoawards.com and all the top 10 videos would be available for viewing by the public on the same website by this September.

MYC! Chief Executive Officer, Mr Jason Ko said at the grand awards night in September this year, the best 10 videos would be screened for the media, LIAM member companies and lecturers from the participating universities in a class cinema  setting.

The attractive prizes for grabs are RM8,000 cash for the grand prize winner, RM5,000 for the second place winner and RM2,000 for third place winner. There will be consolation prizes of RM500 for all the seven consolation winners.

Apart from the 10 finalists, there will also be a best lecturer grand prize and best lecturer second place winner of RM1,000 and RM500 respectively. The grand prize winner will automatically bring back the Best University Video Trophy.
