Kuala Lumpur, Thursday, 5 January, 2012:  LIAM is pleased to inform that Mr Vincent Kwo Shih Kang, Chief Executive Officer of Uni.Asia Life Assurance Berhad and Mr Khor Hock Seng, Chief Executive Officer of American International Assurance Bhd have been appointed as the new President and Vice-President of LIAM respectively, with effect from 1 January 2012. 

Mr Vincent Kwo Shih Kang is the Chief Executive Officer of Uni.Asia Life Assurance Berhad and a Qualified Actuary with more than 28 years of experience in the insurance industry.  Mr Kwo holds a degree in Actuarial Science from City University (London) and a Master of Business Administration, majoring in Finance from CASS Business School, London.  He obtained his Fellow of Society of Actuaries, USA in 1988.  He has a wealth of international experience having held several senior positions including stints as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Appointed Actuary in various South East Asian countries. 

Within the insurance industry, Mr Kwo is the President of the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) and is a member of the Board of Malaysian Life Re. He is also a Registered Financial Planner. 

Mr Khor Hock Seng is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of American International Assurance Bhd. He is also the Chairman and Director of AIA Takaful International Bhd and sits on the Board of Malaysian Life Re. 

Mr Khor graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics. He is also a Registered Financial Planner and has around 30 years experience in the insurance industry. 

Both leaders are excellent professionals with decades of experience and exemplary track records in leading their respective companies.
