Mr Toi See Jong is the CEO of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd. Mr Toi has been instrumental in steering the Company into the next phase of its corporate development and position it as the leading insurance company reputed for excellent service and products.

A qualified actuary from United Kingdom, Mr Toi is a well-recognized business leader with a wealth of experience in insurance coupled with strong understanding of both the local and overseas market.

He has successfully spearheaded and managed financial organizations in various positions over the span of 26 years with the first position based in United Kingdom. He assumed positions such as Appointed Actuary and Chief Executive Officer in Malaysia before taking on other senior positions in China, Singapore and Hong Kong.
LIAM Vice President

Mr Gan Leong Hin assumed the position of CEO of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) on 26 November 2015. Before being named as the CEO, Hin as he is fondly called by his colleagues in Prudential, joined PAMB in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer and led important initiatives which include the formulation and execution of PAMB’s strategic vision to drive profitable growth and strengthen its long-term capabilities as a leading life insurer in Malaysia. Hin is a qualified actuary who has more than 25 years of experience in the life insurance and investment businesses in Asia, Australia and the U.K.

He has held senior management roles across a range of business lines including product management and marketing, risk management, financial reporting, valuation, corporate finance and restructuring.

Hin graduated from the London School of Economics with first-class honours and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in UK and Australia.

Ms Anusha Thavarajah was appointed to helm AIA Bhd. on 11 June 2015. The first woman to join AIA’s rank of CEOs in the life insurer’s six largest markets in the Asia Pacific region, Anusha is responsible for steering AIA Bhd., a leading life insurer in Malaysia with total assets worth RM47 billion, on its continuing journey of strong growth and transformation. Her key areas of focus include growing and strengthening the company’s three main business lines comprising Agency, Partnership Distribution and Corporate Solutions as well as overseeing the growth and development of AIA’s Takaful business in Malaysia.

Anusha’s career in insurance spans over 20 years and began in the United Kingdom. In Malaysia, she joined AIA in 2002 as Vice President of Actuarial. Several years later, she took on the dual roles of Appointed Actuary & Head of Product Development at ING Insurance Berhad, where she went on to assume the role of Deputy CEO. Anusha returned to AIA in 2011 as Deputy General Manager of Operations, Finance & Actuarial and played a key role in the successful integration of AIA and ING’s businesses in Malaysia. Prior to her CEO appointment, Anusha was Regional Business Development Director at AIA Group Limited. She provided strategic leadership to AIA’s businesses in Southeast Asia and worked closely with the country management teams to achieve their business goals.

A First Class Honours graduate in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Birmingham, Anusha is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, United Kingdom.

Mr Joseph K. Gross is the CEO of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad. Bangalore-born, his family moved to Germany in the early 1970’s. He speaks English, German, and is also fluent in French.

A Business Administration graduate from the University of Frankfurt, Germany , Joseph, began his career with Procter & Gamble, a leading global fast moving consumer goods company in 1991. He spent the next 11 years growing with the company and honing his skills as a true business marketer working in Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

In 2002, Joseph joined Allianz SE in Germany as Senior Vice President Group Marketing. Here, he was instrumental in building Allianz into a strong global brand as well as introducing customer and market driven strategic planning to the Group.  In 2010, as the Executive Vice President and Head of Group Market Management, Joseph led branding, digitalization and multi-access distribution initiatives. He also shaped Allianz Group’s commitment to deliver True Customer Centricity (TCC).

Since April 2016, Joseph oversees Allianz’s life operations in Malaysia.

Mr Ramzi Toubassy was appointed as CEO for AmMetLife Insurance Berhad on 19 September 2014. As Chief Executive Officer for AmMetLife Insurance Berhad, Toubassy is responsible for executing a transformation strategy to achieve profitable growth, accelerate shareholder return, as well as ensuring the operational effectiveness of the AmMetLife business in Malaysia.

Mr Toubassy has been with MetLife since 2012, and previously served as its Head of Face-to-Face Distribution for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Prior to joining MetLife, he was with AIA, where over a period of eight years, he held several key management roles including Deputy Chief Agency Officer for Southeast Asia based in Hong Kong, Chief Distribution Officer in Malaysia, Korea and Vietnam. Having started his career with AIG in 1996, Toubassy has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia State University as well as a Master of Arts in International Relations.

Mr Loke Kah Meng is the CEO of AXA AFFIN Life Insurance Berhad.

An Actuary by profession, he has ­29 years’ experience in the industry and has held the roles of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Operations.

Mr Loke graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, the University of Exeter with a Masters in Finance and Investment, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

En Zaharudin Daud is the CEO of Etiqa Insurance Berhad effective 1st September 2014. He has more than 20 years of experience in the general insurance business both as a broker and direct insurer and has held various senior positions in the Maybank Group. He joined the Maybank Group in November 1992 as Business Development Executive in Broking Department, Maybank General Assurance Bhd and later assumed roles in the Marketing & Sales Department and Corporate Enterprise Non-Life before being appointed as Head, Business Process, Operations, Non-Life Business in 2003.

In 2005, he was the Head, Retail Product Management, Non-Life Business and later assumed the role of Chief Officer of Etiqa Singapore Operations from 2010 until August 2014. On the national service front, Zaharudin is a member of PIAM's Management Committee and serves as the Convenor of the Claims Sub-Committee since 2014. He is also sitting on the Board of ISM Insurance Services Malaysia Berhad.

YBhg. Dato Koh Yaw Hui the CEO of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad, is a government scholar of Sarawak. He obtained his Honours Degree in Bachelor of Social Science with major in Economics from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Upon graduation, he commenced work at the Public Works Department (PWD) of Sarawak.

Prior to joining Great Eastern Life in 2002, Dato Koh was attached to a leading petroleum company for twelve years. He first joined Great Eastern Life as the Senior Vice-President, responsible for Agency Management. In February 2007, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer and was later appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2008.

He is also a Board Member of Great Eastern Capital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd., Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad, Overseas Assurance Corporation (Malaysia) Berhad, Overseas Assurance Corporation (Holdings) Berhad and I Great Capital Holdings Sdn Bhd.

He is a certified Registered Financial Planner, Shariah Registered Financial Planner and has achieved the Fellow Life Management Institute, USA. Further, Dato Koh serves in the Board of Malaysian Life Reinsurance Group Berhad.

Mr Mark O’Dell is the CEO of Manulife Insurance Berhad overseeing life operations in Malaysia. Mark has over 36 years of experience in the life insurance business, including 22 years in Asia.

Mark holds both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from the American College. In 2006, he was named the Personality of the Year by the Asia Insurance Review for his contribution to the industry and his leadership in corporate social responsibility.

Before his current role, Mark was Senior Vice President, South East Asia in November 2012 overseeing Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines during which the territories experienced strong growth. He also serves as Group CEO and Executive Director of Manulife Holdings Berhad (Manulife Malaysia) since 18 January 2013; Mark has successfully spearheaded acquisition of MAAKL and the securing and activation of the first exclusive bank partnership with Alliance Bank.
